Episode Summary

Our story begins in the tiny hamlet of Sylacauga, Alabama. Home of Molly’s Drive-in Dance and Dine, a tourist attraction known for the worst sci-fi horror movies in the state and for a chunk of the famous meteorite that fell there in 1954. Here we find our heroes, the infamous Hollywood band the Flutterbyes - Mo, Paola, Ronnie Lee, Sonia, Emi and their clumsy but faithful roadie, Dick - preparing to play at a wake for best friend Gabby’s recently deceased mother, Caitlin in Episode One - Mama Knows Best.

A FALLING STAR AT BUZZARD'S ROOST is a full length musical in four episodes with hilarious commercials and original music by The Flutterbyes. The show was workshopped to SRO audiences at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, developed and recorded during the Covid Lockdown and stars a diverse cast including comedy greats Dave Foley (Kids In the Hall, Fargo), Gary Anthony Williams (Boondocks, Reno 911); Broadway's Maureen Davis (original cast of Into the Woods) and Kacee Clanton (Janis Joplin on Broadway) as well rock goddess Roni Lee (singer/guitarist Venus & the Razor Blades and gold record winner with The Runaways).
